Upgrading from Ubuntu 8.10 to 9.04 Jaunty Jackalope beta
Jaunty Jackalope is the next release of Ubuntu will be available in its final version on April 23, 2009. If you want to try the beta to be available before the final version will explain the steps.
First of all, remember that a beta version not indicated for use in production. A beta version is to learn about new features and report bugs that are discovered.

Remember also that the current version of your machine must be current.
To update just by running the following command in a terminal or by pressing [ALT+F2] and using the dialog box
update-manager -d
This opens the Update Manager. After a few seconds to check through your Internet connection if there is a distribution date. Once done you will inform us that the version of the distribution and a button can start the update process.
After that just follow the step is to complete the upgrade. Task we used a long time since you must download and install all new packages.
Once completed we can see that we have installed version with:
lsb_release -a
And we will show the edition installed on your system
