World Of Warcraft patch 3.3.0 on Ubuntu and error R6034
Finally came the patch 3.3.0 for World of Warcraft where the story of the latest expansion Wrath of the Lich King concludes, may finally find the King Review and kill him. After waiting for almost 800MB patch is downloaded and installed correctly we encountered a fatal error that prevents us from accessing the game. After entering the username and password have the following error numbered R6034:
Microsoft Visual C + + runtime library
Runtime error!
Program c: \ program files \ World of Warcraft \ wow.exe
R6034
An Application has made an Attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the Applications Support team for more information.
It's a problem loading a Windows DLL. The solution that worked for my discharge passes through winetricks and install it in Wine redistribution package libraries Visual Studio C + + 2005. From a terminal run the following commands:
wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
Which will download winetricks and:
sh winetricks vcrun2005sp1 vcrun2005
Whereupon libraries installed Visual Studio C + + 2005 SP1 and our Wine.
This solution is not specific to Ubuntu, and safely work on other Linux distributions.
Surely few of us do not play WoW using Wine on Linux. People should take care of Blizzard a bit and perhaps contribute to the Wine project to the game client works for everyone.
Curiously the game update on Windows partition that I have failed incomplete. After suggesting the installer Wow Patch 3.3.0 to completely reinstall Wow and gloom before it represents (install 3 dvds and download multiple heavy patches, work many many hours) I thought that in view of the update My Ubuntu 9.10 was successful simply choose to copy the game folder in Wine to the partition for Windows and that was enough to make it work properly.

Hi ...
alone, noting that to work in version 8.04 of Ubuntu, copy both the scrip and the folder it generates (. winetrickscache) dento wine directory (/ home / username / .wine / drive_c / winetrickstmp), in my case was not made until this step did not work.
Otherwise, congratulations on your contribution to the community, thank you for the make life a little easier and encourage you to continue on this line.

Hi ...
friend Sergio, what you request is available (or should be) the game itself.
My advice, if you do so, you start it from the "launcher" executable itself instead of (wow.exe). If you do so, the program itself will ask for relevant updates.
For more information, contact the technical aistencia the game, so they can help you in case you do not got your order "http://eu.blizzard.com/support/index.xml?rootCategoryId=2120&locale=es_es&gameId = 11 ".
Another option you have is to seek information via the Internet through any "search engine" (google, yahoo, etc).
I also suggest that you post next time you do a little more calm and collected all the information in a post for all to come out winning with it.

hi, I'm new to linux ubuntu and wanted to play gothic 3, I downloaded a thousand things to winestricks but it will not always tell me the same error:
Program c: \ program files \ World of Warcraft \ wow.exe
R6034
An Application has made an Attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly.
Please contact the Applications Support team for more information.
(In this case with the gothic)
I read a Anuljade you have to copy both the scrip and the folder it generates (. winetrickscache) dento wine directory (/ home / username / .wine / drive_c / winetrickstmp);
How do you do that? I think that is my problem, I would try to see if that is the solution. but I comment more.

you can do it in 2 ways, either through a file manager type "nautilus" or from the command line terminal.
