How to install Unity 2D
Unity is one of the improvements that come with Ubuntu 11.04. It is a replacement of the current desktop. Makes use of the graphics capabilities of our intensive system. So there is Unity 2D systems where the graphics requirements Unity can not be satisfied.
In order to prove to be installed in a virtual machine with VirtualBox. I do not recommend installing it on a production system.
To install open a terminal (CTRL + ALT + T) and enter the following commands:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:unity-2d-team/unity-2d-daily
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install -y unity-2d-default-settings
After installing the packages we close the session. And having chosen to come back Unity 2D. To enter and will be available and frankly works quite well although I prefer my desktop classic. Unity has a simple 2D insulting.
It works on Ubuntu and Ubuntu 11.04 10.10 Maverick Alfa Natty. Tested on Ubuntu 10.10 vitualizado.

Not seeking to Unity but can not find any sense to use a touch interface on a desktop computer when other programs are not designed to be tactile.
